- Federal Hill Historic District: This district is roughly bounded by 8th, 12th, Harrison, and Polk Streets. It was added on September 17, 1980.
- Fifth Street Historic District: This district includes 5th, 6th, Court, Clay, Madison, Harrison, Federal, Jackson, Polk, and Monroe Streets. It was listed on February 8, 2012.
- Garland Hill Historic District: This area is roughly bounded by 5th Street, Federal Avenue, and the Norfolk Southern Railway tracks. It was recognized on September 7, 1972.
