The North Saginaw Road-Salt River Bridge was originally listed on December 17, 1999. This bridge has an interesting story! It was moved in 2001 from its first location over the Salt River to a new spot. Now, it carries Perrine Road over Sturgeon Creek in Larkin Township.
Oxbow Archeological District
The Oxbow Archeological District is a very special place. It's also known as the Chippewa Nature Center Archaeological District. This site, located in Midland Township, was added to the list on June 19, 1973. An archeological district means it's a place where scientists study old human history by digging up artifacts. This site is found on the grounds of the Chippewa Nature Center, which is a great place to learn about nature and history!
