Pine River | Alanson M. Kimball was a local business owner in Pine River. He later became a US Congressman, which means he helped make laws for the country. He built this house in 1860. It was first in the Greek Revival style, which looks like ancient Greek temples. In 1901, he updated it to the popular Colonial Revival style. The property also includes old garages, a barn from 1860, and a small, decorative outdoor structure called a gazebo. | |

Hancock | The Whistler Mound Group is an ancient site with two lines of cone-shaped mounds. It also has an oval wall that is about 120 feet long and 51 feet wide. These mounds were likely built between the years 500 and 1200 CE. They were created by people from the Late Woodland period, who were early Native American groups living in this area. |
