Guernsey Folk & Costume Museum
In 1968, the Trust helped create the Guernsey Folk Museum. This was done with another group called La Societe Guernesiaise. The museum is located in Saumarez Park. Before this, in 1951, the same spot showed what an old Guernsey kitchen looked like for a big event called the Festival of Britain.
Today, this museum has grown into the Folk & Costume Museum. The Trust now takes care of it. The museum helps visitors understand what life was like for people in Guernsey over the last 250 years. It does this by showing many old objects and different kinds of clothes.
Trust Headquarters
The main office for the National Trust of Guernsey is at 26 Cornet Street. This building might be the oldest complete building still standing within the old medieval part of Saint Peter Port. Since 1987, this building has had a Victorian-style shop and a small living room. It sells old-fashioned sweets and gifts.
Les Caches Farm
Since 2009, the Trust has opened up an old Guernsey farmhouse called Les Caches Farm. This farm was carefully fixed up to look just like it did in the 1800s. Now, the building shares information about how it was restored. It also has a space where people can hold public and private events.
Protecting Guernsey's Heritage
The Trust owns many different places across Guernsey. These include old traditional buildings and beautiful natural spots along the island's south coast cliffs. The National Trust of Guernsey currently has more than 2,000 members who help support its important work.
