The Story of Native Ryme

Native Ryme Syndicate won a special award called a Deadly in 1998. This award was for "Most Promising New Talent," showing they were a group to watch!

They made history by being the first Australian urban music group to play at big music festivals. They shared the stage with famous bands like Spiderbait, Regurgitator, and 28 Days. They also performed at huge events such as the Big Day Out and Livid festivals.

In 2004, a Grammy Award-winning US group called Naughty By Nature even said Native Ryme Syndicate was one of the best unknown rap/hip-hop groups in the world!

What's in a Name?

Over time, the group changed its name and is now simply known as Native Ryme.

After many years, Native Ryme released their first full-length album in 2013. This was a big moment for the group, coming 19 years after they first started making music! Their album, titled Native Ryme Syndicate, was released in 2006.
