Nayini Narsimha Reddy (born May 12, 1934 – died October 22, 2020) was an important Indian politician. He became the very first Home Minister of Telangana state, serving from 2014 to 2018. As Home Minister, he was in charge of keeping the state safe and managing things like prisons, fire services, and support for soldiers.
He was also a Member of Legislative Council (MLC) in Telangana. An MLC is like a lawmaker who helps create rules and laws for the state. Nayini Narsimha Reddy was also a well-known leader for workers' rights in Telangana. He was a senior member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) political party. He worked closely with K. Chandrashekar Rao to help create the separate state of Telangana.

About Nayini Narsimha Reddy
His Early Life and Schooling
Nayini Narsimha Reddy was born and grew up in a village called Neredugommu. This village is in the Nalgonda district of Devarakonda. His parents, Devaiah Reddy and Subadhramma, were farmers. He studied up to HSC, which is like finishing 12th grade today.
He became involved in politics early on. He played an active part in the 1969 movement for a separate Telangana state. He began his political journey with the Janata Party.
His Political Career
Before becoming a politician, Nayini Narsimha Reddy was a leader for workers in industries like VST. He moved to Hyderabad in the 1970s and became very active in politics there. He was also involved in the 1969 movement for Telangana.
He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) three times from the Musheerabad area in Hyderabad. An MLA is a representative chosen by people to make laws for their state. From 2004 to 2008, he served as a Cabinet Minister for Technical Education in the government of Andhra Pradesh. He was a key leader who worked with KCR to form the new state of Telangana.
In 2001, he joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) party when K. Chandrashekhar Rao started it. He was one of the main leaders in the movement for Telangana. In the 2014 elections, he won as an MLA for the TRS party. He then became the first Home Minister of the newly formed state of Telangana. He also became a Member of Legislative Council (MLC) through a special quota for governors. He also advised the VST Labour Union Industries.
His Passing Away
In October 2020, Nayini Narsimha Reddy became unwell and was taken to the hospital. He passed away on October 22, 2020, at the age of 86.
