The Name and the Post Office
For a while, Negangards Corner was also known by another name: North Hogan. This was its old name. In 1844, a post office opened in the community under the name North Hogan. This meant people could send and receive mail right there. The post office served the area for many years. However, it eventually closed down in 1877.
