Neil Fitzgerald (born January 15, 1893 – died June 15, 1982) was a talented Irish actor. He appeared in many plays on Broadway and in numerous films and TV shows during his long career.
About Neil Fitzgerald
Neil Fitzgerald was born Cornelius James Fitzgerald in Tipperary, Ireland. His father was a grocer, which is someone who sells food and household items. Neil first studied pharmacy at Trinity College Dublin. Pharmacy is the science of preparing and dispensing medicines. But Neil soon realized his true passion was acting!
He started his acting journey on Broadway, which is a famous theater district in New York City. His first Broadway play was Leave Her to Heaven in 1940. He loved performing in Irish plays and appeared in many of them throughout his life.
Neil also became a familiar face in movies. His first credited film role was in 1935 in a movie called The Informer. He played a character named Tommy Connor. He also had many roles in television shows.
Neil Fitzgerald passed away in 1982 in Princeton, New Jersey. His last movie role was in Savages in 1972.
