Aoutneil Jacques "Neil" Magny (born August 3, 1987) is an American professional mixed martial artist. He is a top fighter in the Welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Neil Magny has been a professional MMA fighter since 2010. He became well-known after appearing on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson. He currently holds the record for the most wins in UFC Welterweight history, with 22 victories.

Early Life and Background
Neil Magny was born and grew up in New York. His family comes from Haiti and the Dominican Republic. When he was 12, Magny moved to Illinois.
He went to Thornwood High School and later to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. There, he earned a degree in Criminal Justice. During high school and college, he was active in both wrestling and football.
Magny also served in the army and was sent to Kuwait. He finished his military service in 2013.
Starting His Mixed Martial Arts Journey
Neil Magny began his professional MMA career in 2010. His very first fight was on August 7, 2010, against Nolan Norwood. Magny won this fight by making his opponent give up (a "submission" called a kimura).
A few months later, he won another fight by a unanimous decision. Just three weeks after that, he won his third fight by TKO (technical knockout). Magny continued to win, bringing his record to 6 wins and 0 losses.
His first loss came in July 2011 during a tournament. He lost by submission, which means his opponent made him give up. After one more fight, Magny decided to try out for a famous reality TV show.
The Ultimate Fighter Show
Neil Magny was chosen to be on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Carwin vs. Team Nelson. This show helps new fighters get into the UFC. He won his first fight on the show against Frank Camacho. This win allowed him to move into the Ultimate Fighter house.
He was picked by coach Shane Carwin to join his team. In his first official fight on the show, Magny won against Cameron Diffley. He then won his quarterfinal fight against Bristol Marunde. However, Magny lost in the semifinals to Mike Ricci by knockout.
Fighting in the UFC
Neil Magny made his official UFC debut on February 23, 2013. He won his first UFC fight against Jon Manley by a unanimous decision. This meant all the judges agreed he won.
After a couple of losses, Magny started a great winning streak in 2014. He won five fights that year, which tied a UFC record for the most wins in a single year! He continued this success into 2015, winning four more fights. This made him the only fighter to have 5 fights in a calendar year twice (in 2014 and 2015).

- Performance of the Night: He earned this bonus four times for impressive wins. These included victories over Kiichi Kunimoto, Lim Hyun-gyu, Héctor Lombard, and Daniel Rodriguez.

Magny has faced many tough opponents in the UFC. He has shown great skill and determination, often bouncing back from losses with strong performances. For example, in 2024, he had an amazing comeback win against Mike Malott. After being controlled for much of the fight, he came back strong in the third round to win by TKO.
