Nekketsu Saikyō Go-Saurer facts for kids

Nekketsu Saikyō Go-Saurer (熱血最強ゴウザウラー, Nekketsu Saikyō Gōzaurā) is an exciting animated TV show with 51 episodes. It's also known as "Hot-Blooded Strongest Go-Saurer" or "Gozaurer". This series is the third part of the Eldran story.

The show aired in Japan from March 1993 to February 1994. It's all about a group of elementary school kids who get to control a giant robot called Go-Saurer. Their big mission? To protect Earth from the evil Kikaika Empire! This series was the first in the Eldran group to have a girl pilot, more pilots, and a cool jet mode for the robot.

Saving Earth from the Kikaika Empire

One year after some big demons were defeated, a new threat appeared. The Kikaika Empire, also known as the "Machine Empire," started invading space. They quickly took over planets like Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. Their next target was Earth!

But Earth had a protector named Eldran, an ancient soldier of light. To fight the Kikaika Empire, Eldran gave three sixth-grade students special powers. These students were Kenichi Minezaki, Hiromi Tachibana, and Shinobu Asaoka.

They received three huge robotic dinosaurs: Mach Ptera, Land Stego, and Thunder Brachio. These robots could combine to form the giant robot Gosaurer! Later, two more robots, Magna Tyranno and Grantops, joined the team. Taro Shirogane and Youji Hiyama piloted these new robots. All these robots could combine to form the ultimate King Gosaurer. Their goal was to stop the Kikaika Empire from taking over Earth.

Meet the Saurers: The Hero Kids

The Saurers are the brave students who pilot the giant robots. They are in the sixth grade at Harukaze Elementary.

Main Pilots of Gosaurer

Kenichi Minezaki (峯崎 拳一, Minezaki Kenichi)

Kenichi is the main pilot of Mach Ptera and Gosaurer. He's a lively and happy boy who loves skateboarding and sports. He's good friends with Saneyasu and Kazutaka, and they often play soccer together.

Hiromi Tachibana (立花 浩美, Tachibana Hiromi)

Hiromi pilots Land Stego. He's a thoughtful boy who enjoys writing and drawing manga comics.

Shinobu Asaoka (朝岡 しのぶ, Asaoka Shinobu)

Shinobu is the first girl to pilot an Eldran robot! She controls Thunder Brachio. She's a bit of a tomboy and often argues with Kenichi. Shinobu is learning kendo, a Japanese martial art, and practices with her grandmother.

Other Important Saurer Pilots

Taro Shirogane (白金 太郎, Shirogane Tarou)

Also known as "Kinta," Taro is a strong member of the judo club. He pilots Magna Tyranno, a robot found in a volcano.

Yoji Hiyama (火山 洋二, Hiyama Youji)

Yoji is a smart and studious boy who loves books. He pilots Grantops. He also has a secret crush on his homeroom teacher, Yayoi Yuri.

Goro Ishida (石田 五郎, Ishida Gorou)

Goro is the serious class president of class 6-2. He has a very strong temper! Goro is the pilot of the Saurer Jet.

Saurer Command and Support

Erika Kozu (光主 エリカ, Kouzu Erika)

Also called "Eri," Erika is the leader of the Saurers. She gives the important "scramble" command using her special brace. She sits in the main command seat in their control center.

Takako Kojima (小島 尊子, Kojima Takako)

Takako is known as the "Professor" of the Saurers. She helped create one of the robots, Gransaurer, and writes programs for King Gosaurer. She's usually calm but can get upset when things don't go right.

Shuzo Osada (長田 秀三, Osada Shuuzou)

Shuzo is very skilled with machines. He helped design and build one of the robots, Boueigar. He often works with Takako to create new things.

The Amazing Robots

Unlike other Eldran series, the Gosaurer and Magnasaurer robots are actually part of the school building itself! This means the school's facilities can be used, but it also means their armor isn't super strong.

Gosaurer: The School Robot

When not fighting, Gosaurer is the central part of the school, including the classroom where the Saurers learn!

Saurer Jet: The Travel Mode

The Saurer Jet is the first form Gosaurer takes when it launches. Goro Ishida pilots it. It's great for moving quickly, but it doesn't have many weapons. Once it reaches its destination, it splits into three parts with the command "Saurer Formation."

Mach Ptera: The Flying Dinosaur

Kenichi Minezaki pilots Mach Ptera. This is the first dinosaur robot and the only one that can fly among the three. It forms the arms and back of Gosaurer.

Gosaurer: The Combined Robot

When the command "Nekketsu Gattai" (Hot-Blooded Merge) is given, the three dinosaur robots combine into Gosaurer! Kenichi is the main pilot in the head, and all three pilots move to a new control center in Gosaurer's chest.

• Saurer Bomber: A powerful punch using a crystal from its chest.

Magna Tyranno and Magnasaurer

Taro Shirogane pilots Magna Tyranno. This is the dinosaur form of Magnasaurer. It can breathe fire and use laser cannons.

Magnasaurer: The Robot Form

When the command "Nekketsu Shinka" (Hot-Blooded Evolution) is given, Magna Tyranno changes into Magnasaurer, its robot form.

Magnasaurer has its own sword called the Magna Blade. It can also fire blasts from its arm cannons (Magna Shot) and throw a crystal (Magna Bomber).

Magna Buster: The Super Weapon

This is an equipment mode. When the command "Nekketsu Bussou" (Hot-Blooded Armament) is given, Magna Buster can combine with Gosaurer. This allows them to use a super finishing move called "Saurer Big Buster." When not fighting, Magna Buster is part of the school's stairs and kitchen area.

Grantops and Gransaurer

Yoji Hiyama pilots Grantops. This is the dinosaur mode of Gransaurer. It can attack with its horns, fire, and missiles.

Granjet: The Transport Mode

This is the first form of Gransaurer when it launches. It's mostly for transportation and can fire missiles.

Gransaurer can fire missiles (Gran Launcher) and use a polearm weapon called the Big Lancer. Its solo finishing move is the Saurer Grand Slash.

King Gosaurer: The Ultimate Robot

King Gosaurer is the combination of Gosaurer, Magnasaurer, and Gransaurer! It's a single, super powerful robot. All the Saurers must be on board for this to happen. Kenichi, Taro, and Yoji must all give the command "Chou Nekketsu Gattai" (Super-Hot-Blooded Merge) at the same time.

King Gosaurer has many strong attacks:

• King Fire: It releases fire from the Triceratops head on its chest.
• King Blade: It summons a powerful sword.
• Saurer King Finish: Its ultimate finishing move, using the King Blade.

In the very last episode, King Gosaurer can combine even further with parts of the school! This super-armored unit is called Gakuenger (ガクエンガー, Gakuengaa).
