Nemo, Missouri facts for kids
Nemo is a small, unincorporated community located in Hickory County, in the state of Missouri, United States. An "unincorporated community" means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town does.
History of Nemo
The community of Nemo once had its own post office. This post office opened in 1893 and helped people send and receive mail for about 20 years, closing down in 1913. It's not clear why the name "Nemo" was chosen for this community. Researchers have found that the earliest mention of Nemo on a map was in 1904.
