Neo is the main hero in the Matrix movies. He is played by the actor Keanu Reeves.

Who is Neo?

Neo's real name is Thomas A. Anderson. He starts out as a computer programmer who also secretly works as a hacker. He feels like something is wrong with the world around him.

One day, a mysterious person named Morpheus contacts him. Morpheus offers Neo a choice: a red pill or a blue pill. The blue pill would let him forget everything and go back to his normal life. The red pill would show him the truth about the world.

Neo chose the red pill. This choice woke him up to the real world, which is very different from what he thought. He learned that humanity is trapped in a fake computer program called the Matrix. This program is controlled by intelligent machines. Neo then joins Morpheus and his crew to fight against these machines and free humanity.
