The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center (NBPAC) is a cool, modern building in New Brunswick, New Jersey. It's a special place where different types of shows and arts events happen. This big building is located right next to the State Theatre.

Construction on the NBPAC started in 2017 and was finished in 2019. It cost about $172 million to build! The center officially opened its doors on September 4, 2019.

This cultural hub is home to several amazing arts groups. These include the American Repertory Ballet, the Crossroads Theatre, and the George Street Playhouse. It also has theaters used by Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts.

What's Inside the NBPAC?

The New Brunswick Performing Arts Center is a very tall building, with 23 stories. It's one of the tallest buildings in New Brunswick. The building was designed by a company called Elkus Manfredi Architects.

Modern Theaters and Spaces

The NBPAC has two super modern theaters where you can watch plays, ballets, and other performances. It also has special rooms just for rehearsals. These are places where actors and dancers can practice before a show. There are also offices and academic spaces for learning.

Living and Working Spaces

The building isn't just for performances! Above the theaters, there are 18 stories with 207 apartments where people live. There's also a large area of office space, about 30,000 square feet. Plus, there's a new parking garage with 344 spots for cars.
