The New England Stars were an ice hockey team that played in the North Eastern Hockey League (NEHL). They were based in Danbury, Connecticut. The team started playing games at the end of 2006. They began playing at the Danbury Ice Arena after the previous team, the Danbury Trashers, stopped playing there.

Their Amazing First Season

The New England Stars had an incredible first season in 2006-2007! They were the best team in the league. They won every single regular season game, finishing with a perfect record of 20 wins and 0 losses.

They continued their winning streak into the championship series. The Stars won both games of the championship, sweeping the series 2–0. This meant they finished the entire season with an amazing record of 22 wins and 0 losses.

On March 18, 2007, the Stars played a special game. They faced an all-star team made up of the best players from the other three NEHL teams. The Stars lost this game 4–3, but it was still a fantastic season for them.
