The NYFTA, which stands for the New York Food Truck Association, is a group that helps mobile food businesses in New York. These are businesses that sell food from trucks or carts.

About the NYFTA

The NYFTA was started in 2016 by a person named Ben Goldberg. It works to support food trucks all over New York City and the areas around it.

What the NYFTA Does

The association helps food truck owners and also organizes fun events. They put together food festivals, like the NYC Food Truck Fest. This festival happened in April 2017, and again in April 2018 and 2019. It's a great way for people to try different foods from many trucks.

Helping During Tough Times

In April 2020, the New York Food Truck Association started a special program called Frontline Food Trucks. They worked with other food and drink companies to do this. The goal was to give free coffee, snacks, and meals to hospital workers and other essential staff. This was during the time when the COVID-19 pandemic was making many people sick in New York City.

Food trucks parked outside hospitals like NYU Langone and Mount Sinai. This helped support the brave medical teams. It also helped local food truck businesses, which had to close down because of the pandemic.
