Newfield's History
Newfield officially became a village in 1895. This meant it had its own local government. However, residents later decided to make a change.
Village Dissolution
On September 21, 1926, the people of Newfield voted to dissolve their village government. The village officially stopped existing on December 31, 1927. All its services and assets were then transferred to the larger Town of Newfield.
