Newzealandia is a group of interesting flatworms that live on land. They are a type of land planarian, and you can find them mainly in New Zealand.
What Makes Newzealandia Special?
Scientists identify different types of Newzealandia by looking closely at their bodies. These flatworms have special tiny parts called glands inside them. These glands are found in a part of their body called the atrial cavity. They are a bit like similar glands in a related group of flatworms called Artioposthia.
