Nicholas "Nick" D'Agosto (born April 17, 1980) is an American actor. He first appeared in movies with a small role in Election in 1999. Nick became more well-known for his roles in TV shows like Heroes as West Rosen and The Office as Hunter, both in 2007.
He also had important roles in films such as Fired Up! (2009) and the horror movie Final Destination 5 (2011). Later, Nick focused more on television. He played Harvey Dent in the superhero series Gotham from 2014 to 2016. From 2017 to 2018, he starred as Josh Segal in the NBC comedy Trial & Error. More recently, he has appeared in Criminal Minds: Evolution since 2022.

Early Life and Education
Nicholas D'Agosto was born in Omaha, Nebraska. His mother, Deanna Rae, is from Sioux City, Iowa, and his father, Alan D'Agosto, is from Omaha. Nick has two older brothers, Andrew and Patrick, and two younger sisters, Julie and Katie.
He grew up in the Roman Catholic faith. When he was young, Nick thought about becoming a priest. However, by age 10, he became interested in improv comedy.
Growing Up with Drama
Nick was very involved in drama and theater as he grew up. He acted in many different plays and musicals. He also took part in speech tournaments in middle school.
He finished high school at Creighton Preparatory School in 1998. Then, he went to Marquette University. He graduated in 2002 with two main subjects: history and theater.
Acting Career Highlights
Nick D'Agosto got his first big acting chance while still in high school. He was cast as Larry Fouch in the movie Election (1999). The film's writer and director, Alexander Payne, also went to Creighton Prep.
While still in college, Nick acted in the film Psycho Beach Party (2000). After graduating in 2002, he moved to Los Angeles to become a full-time actor.
Early TV Appearances
Nick appeared as a guest star on many popular TV shows. These included Boston Public, ER, Six Feet Under, Cold Case, House, Supernatural, and Without a Trace. He also appeared in three episodes of The Office. In 2007, he played West Rosen in the superhero series Heroes.
Film Roles and Preparation
To get ready for his role in the movie Fired Up!, Nick spent three weeks at a cheerleading camp. He also worked with a professional choreographer. He starred in From Prada to Nada, a movie loosely based on Jane Austen's Sense and Sensibility. In 2011, he played Sam Lawton in Final Destination 5.
Later Television Roles
In 2014, Nick appeared on Grey's Anatomy as a surgical resident named Graham Maddox. He left the show in November 2014.
In late 2015, Nick was cast as Harvey Dent in the TV series Gotham. He played this role from 2014 to 2016.
In 2017, D'Agosto took on a main role in NBC's comedy series Trial & Error. The second season of the show finished in August 2018.
Since November 2022, Nick D'Agosto has had a recurring role as Deputy Director Doug Bailey in Criminal Minds: Evolution.
Personal Life
Nicholas D'Agosto married Andrea Bricco in 2015. They have one child, a son.
