Nicholas de Graham was the son of Henry de Graham. He was involved in some very important events in Scottish history.

Important Agreements

In 1289, Nicholas was part of an important agreement called the Treaty of Salisbury. This agreement was about the future of Scotland and who would rule it.

Later, between 1291 and 1292, Nicholas played a role in deciding who would be the next King or Queen of Scotland. He was one of the people who helped Robert de Brus, Lord of Annandale during these discussions. Many people were trying to become the ruler of Scotland at that time.

Showing Loyalty

On August 28, 1296, Nicholas showed his loyalty to King Edward I of England at a place called Berwick-upon-Tweed. This was a common practice for nobles during that time.

Nicholas de Graham passed away in the year 1306.

Nicholas de Graham married Mary de Strathearn. Mary was the daughter of Malise, Earl of Strathearn, and Marjory de Muschamp.
