How You Can Watch Nickelodeon
Nickelodeon works hard to make sure you can enjoy your favorite cartoons and shows.
Language Choices for Shows
Most of the cartoons you see on Nickelodeon are dubbed. This means the original voices are changed to your local language, like Danish, Norwegian, or Finnish. If you watch on satellite TV, you can often pick which language you want to hear!
For shows that are made for older kids and aren't cartoons, they are usually shown in English. But don't worry, they come with subtitles in your local language so you can easily follow along.
Sharing TV Time
In the past, Nickelodeon sometimes shared its broadcast time with other TV channels. This meant Nickelodeon would be on during the day, and then another channel would take over in the evening or at night. For example, on a service called Viasat, Nickelodeon used to share its channel with Viasat Nature and Viasat Crime. But this changed in 2007, and Nickelodeon started sharing its time with VH1 instead. Many cable TV companies used this same setup.
Also, on another TV service called Canal Digital, the European version of VH1 Classic would play when Nickelodeon wasn't on. This was also true for some digital TV in Sweden.
Where Nickelodeon Broadcasts From
Nickelodeon used to broadcast its shows from the United Kingdom. However, in 2008, the channel changed its main broadcasting location. Now, Nickelodeon for Denmark, Norway, and Finland broadcasts from the Netherlands.
