Nicole Oyeyemisi Payne, born on January 18, 2001, is a professional footballer (soccer player). She plays as a defender for the National Women's Soccer League club Portland Thorns. She is currently on loan to the Thorns from Première Ligue side Paris Saint-Germain. Nicole was born in the United States but plays for the Nigerian national team.

Early Life and Education
Nicole grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Oak Mountain High School in her hometown.
College Soccer Career
Nicole started her college soccer journey at West Virginia University. She played there for three years. Later, she transferred to the University of Southern California for her final year of college soccer.
Professional Club Career
Joining Paris Saint-Germain
In July 2023, Nicole signed with Paris Saint-Germain, a top club in France's Division 1 Féminine. She made her first appearance for PSG as a substitute on November 12, 2023. This was in a game where PSG won 5–2 against Dijon FCO. Her first time starting a game for PSG was on January 20, 2024. They won that game 8–1 against FC Girondins de Bordeaux.
Loan to Portland Thorns
In February 2024, Nicole was loaned to the Portland Thorns. This team plays in the National Women's Soccer League in the United States. She joined them for the 2024 season.
International Career
Playing for the United States
Nicole was first called to play for the United States national under-17 team in 2017.
Representing Nigeria
Nicole made her first appearance for the senior Nigerian national team on June 10, 2021. She came into the game as a substitute in a friendly match against Jamaica.
She was also chosen to be part of the Nigerian squad for the 2022 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. More recently, Nicole was called up to play for Nigeria in the 2024 Summer Olympics.
Personal Life
Nicole was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Her parents are from Nigeria. She has two siblings who are also soccer players: her older sister Toni Payne and her brother Stephen Payne. Nicole and her sister Toni have even played together on the Nigerian national team.
