Nikoláj Jákovlevič Jut was born in a small village called Siner. This village is in the Alikovsky District of the Chuvash Republic in Russia. He went to school at the Simbir Chuvashia Teachers School. After that, he continued his studies at the Communist University of Peoples of the East, graduating in 1923.

Early Career and Writings

From 1923 to 1925, Nikoláj Jut did special graduate studies. He focused on the history of material culture in the USSR. He also worked as an editor for a newspaper called "Canvas."

During this time, he led the Chuvashia Writers Association. This group helped Chuvash writers connect and share their work. Nikoláj Jut wrote many articles where he shared his thoughts on literature. In 1928, he wrote an important book called "A brief sketch of Chuvash Folk Poetry." This book explored the traditional poems and stories of the Chuvash people.

Challenges and Contributions

Nikoláj Jut became a member of the USSR writers Union in 1934. He was known for speaking his mind. Sometimes, his strong opinions caused disagreements with others. He faced some challenges because of this, but he was later able to continue his work.

He served in both the Russian Civil War and World War II. During a difficult time in history, he faced a period of hardship and was unable to work for several years. Later, his name was cleared, and he was recognized for his contributions. He had a big impact on the literature of his time. Nikoláj Jákovlevič Jut passed away on March 27, 1967, in Shumerlya town, Chuvash Republic.
