Her Early Life and Career

Nil's love for music started early, inspired by her family. Her father, Suavi Karaibrahimgil, is also a musician. Her uncle, Selami Karaibrahimgil, was a singer too.

In 2000, Nil graduated from Boğaziçi University. She studied political science and international relations there. She also won the Crystal Apple award twice for her work in advertising.

Besides her studies, Nil became very successful in the Turkish music scene. Many of her songs talk about women, freedom, life, and love. She has also written articles for Hürriyet, a Turkish newspaper, since 2004.

Her Family Life

On January 21, 2010, Nil married Serdar Erener. He is the brother of famous singer Sertab Erener. They got married near the Nile River. Nil and Serdar have one son named Aziz Arif, who was born in May 2014.
