Nine from Little Rock is a short documentary film from 1964. It tells the story of the Little Rock Nine. These were nine brave African-American students. In 1957, they were the first Black students to attend an all-white high school in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The film was directed by Charles Guggenheim. It was made for the United States Information Agency, a government group that shared American culture and ideas. In 1965, the film won an Oscar for Best Documentary Short Subject. This was a big award for the film! Jefferson Thomas, one of the Little Rock Nine, tells the story in the film.
