Ninh Cát Loan Châu facts for kids

Ninh Cát Loan Châu (born September 15, 1973) is a talented Vietnamese American singer. Her real name is Ninh The Loan Châu. She created her stage name, Ninh Cát Loan Châu, by combining her parents' first names: Cát from her father and Loan from her mother.

Loan Châu moved to the United States in 1991. She joined her family in Westminster, California.

Early Life and Musical Journey

Loan Châu was the only person in her family who loved music. She started singing for her classmates when she was only six years old. By age eight, she was already writing songs for kids to perform for her friends! Her teachers noticed her special gift. They even let her join a group of children on the school's entertainment committee.

She also sang in her church choir from a very young age. Loan Châu remembers this time as one of the happiest parts of her childhood.

Becoming a Star

In 1995, a few years after moving to California, Loan Châu won a karaoke contest. This happened at the Ritz night club in Orange County.

The next year, in 1996, a music director named Truc Ho discovered her. He worked at Asia Production. Loan Châu then signed a special contract with Asia Entertainment. She quickly became one of their bright new singers.

In April 1997, Loan Châu had her first paid singing performance in Virginia. In 2000, she started her own music company called "Loan Châu Music." She also began singing only for Thúy Nga Productions.
