Niurka Marcos was born in Havana, Cuba. Her father, Carmelo Marcos, was a major in the Cuban navy. Her mother, Salustiana "Celeste" Calle, was a housewife. Niurka grew up with five brothers and sisters: Martha, Maribel, Thomas, María del Carmen, and Ernesto.
Family Life
Niurka has three children. They were all born in Mexico. Their names are Itzcoatl "Kiko", Romina, and Emilio. In 2002, Niurka became a naturalized citizen of Mexico. This means she officially became a citizen of Mexico. She was part of the first group of foreigners to become Mexican citizens under President Vicente Fox. In 2018, Niurka shared that her mother had passed away.
