Nobuo Kawaguchi (川口 信男, Kawaguchi Nobuo, born April 10, 1975) is a former Japanese football player. He was known for playing as a forward. Kawaguchi spent most of his career with Júbilo Iwata, where he won several important championships.

Playing Career Highlights
Nobuo Kawaguchi was born in Sanjo, Japan, on April 10, 1975. After finishing university, he joined the J1 League club Júbilo Iwata in 1998.
Early Success at Júbilo Iwata
Kawaguchi quickly became an important player for Júbilo Iwata. In his first season, 1998, he played in many matches as a forward. That year, the club won the Emperor's Cup. In the J.League Cup Final, he scored two goals. Because of his amazing performance, he was chosen as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the tournament. Júbilo Iwata also won their first Asian title, the 1998–99 Asian Club Championship, which was a big achievement for the club.
Changing Roles and More Wins
From the year 2000, Kawaguchi started playing in a new role. Besides being a forward, he also played as a right-side midfielder. This showed how versatile he was on the field. The club continued its success, winning the J1 League in 2002 and the 2003 Emperor's Cup in 2003.
Later Career and Retirement
After 2004, Kawaguchi's playing time at Júbilo Iwata became less frequent. In 2006, he moved to FC Tokyo. He played in many games during 2006. However, his opportunities to play decreased again from 2007. Nobuo Kawaguchi decided to retire from professional football at the end of the 2008 season.
