Noel Solomon, born on December 21, 1971, is a former professional rugby league player from Australia. He played during the 1990s, mostly as a halfback or five-eighth. Noel played for two main teams: the North Sydney Bears and the North Queensland Cowboys.
Noel Solomon's Rugby League Journey
Noel Solomon grew up in Townsville, Australia. He started playing rugby league there as a junior. Noel has Torres Strait Islander heritage.
Playing for the North Sydney Bears
Noel made his first big professional game debut for the North Sydney Bears in 1992. This was during Round 15 of the 1992 NSWRL season.
In 1993, Noel became a regular player for the Bears. He played in 21 out of 22 games that season. He often started as the team's halfback. In 1994, Noel played five games for North Sydney. One of these games was a preliminary final match against the Canberra Raiders.
Joining the North Queensland Cowboys
In 1995, Noel returned to his hometown of Townsville. He joined the brand new team, the North Queensland Cowboys. He was part of the team's very first game against the Sydney Bulldogs.
Noel played six games for the Cowboys that year. After his time with the Cowboys, he played for the Mackay Sea Eagles in the Queensland Cup in 1996. Throughout his career, Noel played a total of 35 professional games and scored 20 points.
