The Kingdom of Noland is a make-believe land from the famous Oz stories. It is located to the northwest of the magical Land of Oz. A vast and dangerous area called the Deadly Desert separates Noland from Oz. This fairy country is home to a young king and princess, along with many other interesting people and places.

Noland has several unique spots that are important in its stories.
Towns and Cities
- Hooktown-on-the-Creek - This is a small village in Noland. It's known because Queen Zixi once claimed she studied magic there. Her teacher was a wizard named Professor Hatrack.
- Nole - This is the main and most important city in Noland. It serves as the capital, where the king and his royal court live.
Natural Wonders
- The Giant's Stairway - This is a tall mountain range in the northern part of Noland. These mountains are so high they seem to touch the clouds! People say the Moon sometimes rests at the very top of The Giant's Stairway. Strange, round, and sometimes grumpy creatures called Roly-Rogues also live up there.

Noland is filled with many different characters, from its royal family to everyday citizens.
The Royal Family
- King Bud - He is the young boy king of Noland. Before becoming king, Bud was just a ferryman's son. His journey to the throne is an exciting part of Noland's history.
- Fluff - Also known as Margaret or Meg, Fluff is King Bud's sister. Like Bud, she was also a ferryman's daughter. She later became a princess of Noland.
- Rivette - She is the aunt of King Bud and Princess Fluff. Aunt Rivette later took on the job of a laundress.
Royal Staff and Advisors
- Jikki - Jikki is the main helper and servant to the King of Noland. He is known as the king's valet.
- The Five High Counselors - These are important advisors to the King of Noland.
- Tullydub - He is the leader of the Five High Counselors.
- Tollydob - This counselor is the lord high general of the King's army. He is in charge of all military matters.
- Tillydib - This counselor holds the title of lord high purse-bearer. This means he manages the king's money.
- Tallydab - He is the lord high steward. A steward helps manage the royal household.
- Tellydeb - This counselor is the lord high executioner. In stories, this role often involves carrying out the king's orders, sometimes serious ones.
