Nora Mørk, born on April 5, 1991, is a famous Norwegian handball player. She plays for Team Esbjerg and is a key member of the Norwegian national team. Nora first played for the national team on September 21, 2010.
Before joining Team Esbjerg, she played for several clubs. These included Bækkelaget, Aalborg DH, Njård, Larvik, Győr, CSM București, and Vipers Kristiansand. Nora has achieved many great things in her career. She has won the EHF Champions League six times with three different clubs. She also has two gold and two silver medals from the IHF World Women's Handball Championship. At the European Women's Handball Championship, she has won five gold medals. She has also earned one Olympic gold medal and two Olympic bronze medals.

Nora Mørk's Handball Journey
Playing for Clubs
Nora Mørk started her club career playing for Bækkelaget, Aalborg DH, and Njård IL. From 2009 to 2016, she played for Larvik HK. With Larvik, she won the Norwegian League and the Norwegian Cup five times each. She also helped Larvik win the EHF Champions League in 2011.
From 2016 to 2019, Nora played for the Hungarian club Győri ETO KC. During this time, she won the Hungarian Championship three times. She also won the EHF Champions League with Győri three times in a row, from 2017 to 2019. After that, she joined the Romanian club CSM București for the 2019-2020 season. However, she was injured with a serious knee injury (ruptured ACL) and could not play that season.
She then played for Vipers Kristiansand from 2020 to 2022. With Vipers, she won both the Norwegian League and Norwegian Cup twice. She also won the EHF Champions League two more times, in 2021 and 2022. Since 2022, Nora has been playing for the Danish club Team Esbjerg.
Playing for Norway
Nora Mørk has had a fantastic career with the Norwegian national team. She won her first gold medal at the 2010 European Women's Handball Championship. She played as a right wing in that tournament. After this, Nora faced challenges with knee injuries for over three years. She made a strong return at the 2013 World Women's Handball Championship, where Norway finished in fifth place.
At the 2014 European Women's Handball Championship, she won another gold medal. She was also chosen as the best right back player of the championship. Nora won a gold medal with Norway at the 2015 World Women's Handball Championship and was again named the all-star right back. At the 2016 Summer Olympics, she won a bronze medal with Norway. She was also the top scorer of the tournament with 62 goals.
In 2016, at the 2016 European Women's Handball Championship in Sweden, she won another gold medal. She was the top scorer with 53 goals and was selected as the all-star right back. She was also the top scorer at the 2017 World Women's Handball Championship in Germany with 66 goals. Norway won silver medals in that tournament, losing to France in the final. After this, Nora again dealt with knee injuries for three years.
She made another comeback and won a gold medal with Norway at the 2020 European Women's Handball Championship in Denmark. She was also the top scorer with 52 goals. At the 2020 Summer Olympics (which took place in 2021), she was once again the top scorer with 62 goals, helping the Norwegian team win a bronze medal. She won a gold medal with the Norwegian team at the 2021 World Women's Handball Championship. She also earned a gold medal at the 2022 European Women's Handball Championship, where she was the top scorer with 50 goals. In 2024, she won an Olympic gold medal at the Paris Olympics.

Nora Mørk has a twin sister named Thea Mørk, who is also a handball player.
