Noriaki Asakura's Football Journey
Noriaki Asakura was born in Shizuoka, Japan, on May 11, 1973. He loved playing football from when he was very young. After high school, he joined a new professional football team called Shimizu S-Pulse. This team was from his home area in Shizuoka.
Starting with Shimizu S-Pulse
Asakura began his professional football career with Shimizu S-Pulse in 1992. This was an exciting time for football in Japan. In his first season, he slowly started to get chances to play. His team did very well in the J.League Cup. They finished in second place in both the 1992 and 1993 J.League Cup tournaments.
Moving to Consadole Sapporo
Even though his team was successful, Noriaki Asakura did not play in many matches. He wanted more time on the field. So, in 1996, he decided to move to another club. He joined Consadole Sapporo. This team was part of the Japan Football League.
In 1997, Consadole Sapporo had a fantastic season. They won the championship in their league. This win meant they were promoted to the top league, the J1 League. However, Asakura still found it hard to get regular playing time. He played in only a few matches during this period.
Retirement from Football
