Norihisa Shimizu (清水 範久, Shimizu Norihisa, born October 4, 1976) is a former professional Japanese football player. He played as a Midfielder or a Forward during his career.

Norihisa Shimizu's Football Journey

Norihisa Shimizu was born in Takasaki, Gunma, Japan, on October 4, 1976. He loved football from a young age. After finishing high school, he started his professional career.

Starting with Júbilo Iwata

In 1995, Shimizu joined Júbilo Iwata, a top Japanese football club. From 1997, he became an important player. He often played as an offensive midfielder or a forward. These positions are key for scoring goals and helping the team attack.

During his time with Júbilo Iwata, the team was very successful. They won the J1 League championship in 1997 and again in 1999. They also won the J.League Cup in 1998.

Playing in Asia

Júbilo Iwata also did well in Asian competitions. They won the 1998–99 Asian Club Championship. This was a big achievement for the club. They also reached the final of the 1999–2000 Asian Club Championship.

A Short Loan and Return

In September 2000, Shimizu went on loan to Consadole Sapporo. This meant he played for them for a short time. Consadole Sapporo was in the J2 League, which is the second division of Japanese football.

He returned to Júbilo Iwata in 2001. He became a regular player that year. This happened after another player, Naohiro Takahara, moved to a club in Argentina.

Success with Yokohama F. Marinos

In 2002, Shimizu moved to Yokohama F. Marinos. He quickly became a regular forward for the team. Even though he played less often from 2003, he still played many games as a substitute. A substitute is a player who comes into the game later.

With Yokohama F. Marinos, Shimizu won the J1 League championship two years in a row. They were champions in 2003 and 2004. This was a very successful period for him and the club.

Final Season and Retirement

In 2011, Norihisa Shimizu joined Avispa Fukuoka. However, he did not get to play many matches that season. At the end of 2011, he decided to retire from professional football. He had a long and successful career, playing for many years at the top level in Japan.
