Norika Fujiwara, born on June 28, 1971, is a famous Japanese actress and model. She also won the Miss Nippon beauty contest in 1992. For a while, she was a main model for CanCam fashion magazine. You might have seen her in many Japanese TV shows, commercials, and movies.

Her Journey to Stardom

Norika Fujiwara was born in Nishinomiya, Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. After working as a model for several years, she started a career as a journalist and spokesperson. She even became an ambassador for friendship between Japan and South Korea during the 2002 FIFA World Cup. She also reported from the 2004 Olympics in Greece. Norika traveled to Afghanistan and held a photo exhibition there to share her experiences.

Acting in Movies and Games

Norika Fujiwara has also lent her voice and acting skills to video games and animated movies. She was the main character, Alicia, in the PlayStation 2 game Project Minerva (2002). This game was about a team fighting against rogue robots. She also voiced Princess Fiona in the Japanese versions of the Shrek movies.

Norika spent a month living with a family in the United States to learn more about the culture and improve her English. She hopes to act in an English-language movie made in countries like the United States or Great Britain someday. She has already used her English skills in the film China Strike Force. Norika Fujiwara married comedian Tomonori Jinnai on February 17, 2007, in Kobe city. Their relationship was very popular with the public and the media. They later divorced in 2009.

On September 23, 2016, Norika married Kataoka Ainosuke VI, a famous Kabuki actor. They wore traditional Japanese wedding clothes for their ceremony. The couple held their wedding celebration in Tokyo a few days later.
