Norio Takahashi (高橋 範夫, Takahashi Norio, born March 15, 1971) is a former Japanese football player. He played as a goalkeeper. Norio Takahashi was born in Yachiyo, Japan.
His son, Yuriya, also became a football player.

Norio Takahashi's Football Journey
Early Career and First Clubs
Norio Takahashi started his football journey in his home country, Japan. He was born on March 15, 1971. After attending Chiba University, he joined a team called Nissan Motors in 1991. During this time, he mostly played for their reserve team.
In 1992, he moved to Urawa Red Diamonds. However, he did not get to play in any official matches for this club.
Playing for Brummell Sendai / Vegalta Sendai
Takahashi then joined Japan Football League club Brummell Sendai in 1996. This club later changed its name to Vegalta Sendai. Here, he started to play in many matches.
In 1997, he didn't play much, but his chances to play grew over time. By 2000, he became the team's regular goalkeeper. This was a big step in his career!
Promotion to J1 League
In 2001, Norio Takahashi played in every single match for Vegalta Sendai. His excellent performance helped the club achieve something amazing: they were promoted to the J1 League. This is the top football league in Japan.
Later Career and Retirement
After his time with Vegalta Sendai, Takahashi moved to Sagan Tosu in 2003. The next year, in 2004, he went to Chile and joined a team called Unión San Felipe.
In 2005, he returned to Japan and played for Tokushima Vortis until 2006. His final club was Albirex Niigata Singapore, where he played from 2007. Norio Takahashi officially retired from playing football at the end of the 2008 season.
Coaching Role
After retiring as a player, Norio Takahashi continued to be involved in football. Since 2018, he has been working as a goalkeeper coach for the Japan U-20 team. This means he helps train the next generation of young goalkeepers for Japan.
