Noritani facts for kids
The Noritani were an ancient group of people who lived on the island of Sardinia a very long time ago. They are also sometimes called the Norenses. We know about them because an ancient Greek writer named Ptolemy mentioned them in his writings.
Where Did the Noritani Live?
The Noritani lived in the very southern part of Sardinia. Their land was just south of where two other ancient groups, the Neapolitani and the Valentini, lived. This southern location was important for trade and travel in ancient times.
Their Main Town: Nora
The most important town for the Noritani was called Nora. Today, this ancient town is known as Pula, a modern town in Sardinia. Nora was likely a busy place where people lived, traded, and gathered.
