The Munmorah Sand Dunes are an amazing natural wonder located near Lake Munmorah on Australia's Central Coast. These eight huge sand dunes have been around for nearly 40,000 years! They were created over many, many years by strong sandstorms. Today, they are one of the largest sand dune areas in the entire Central Coast region.
First People of the Dunes
Long ago, Aboriginal people lived among these dunes. They were the first inhabitants of this land. Even today, you can still find signs that show they lived and used this special place.
