Nosimo Zisiwe Beauty Balindlela was born on 28 November 1949 in Hermanus, South Africa. She is a well-known South African politician. She served as the Premier of the Eastern Cape province from 2004 to 2008.
Nosimo Balindlela has been a member of different political parties during her career. She started with the African National Congress. Later, she joined the Congress of the People in 2008. In 2012, she moved to the Democratic Alliance. She returned to the ANC in 2018.

Becoming Premier of the Eastern Cape
Nosimo Balindlela became the Premier of the Eastern Cape province on 26 April 2004. As Premier, she was the head of the provincial government. She worked to lead the province and make important decisions for its people.
Leaving the Premier Role
In July 2008, Nosimo Balindlela decided to step down from her job as Premier. This happened after discussions with leaders from her political party, the African National Congress. Her time as Premier ended on 1 August 2008.
Mbulelo Sogoni took over as the new Premier after her.

After leaving her role as Premier, Nosimo Balindlela made some big changes in her political life.

- On 4 November 2008, she left the African National Congress.
- She then joined a new party called the Congress of the People.
