Nuala McKeever (born in 1964) is a talented actress and writer from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She is well-known for her funny performances and for creating her own shows.

Early Life and Education
Nuala McKeever grew up in the western part of Belfast. She went to Queen's University Belfast and earned a degree in languages. This means she studied different languages while she was there.
A Career in Entertainment
After finishing university, Nuala worked at BBC Northern Ireland for eight years. She started as a secretary and later became a researcher, helping with different projects.
Radio and TV Comedy
Nuala then started working on comedy shows. One of her first projects was for BBC Radio Ulster, called The Wilsons.
She also appeared in a short film called Two Ceasefires and a Wedding in 1995. This film was made by a comedy group from Northern Ireland called Hole in the Wall Gang. This led to a popular TV comedy series called Give My Head Peace. Nuala became very well-known in Northern Ireland for playing the character "Emer" in this show for two seasons.
After Give My Head Peace, Nuala joined UTV. There, she wrote and produced her own sketch show simply called McKeever. A sketch show is a series of short, funny scenes.
Writing for the Stage
Nuala McKeever also writes plays for the theatre. Her first play was called Out of The Box. It was first shown at the Belfast Festival at Queen's in October 2005. The play was very popular and was performed in other theatres, including the Lyric Theatre in Belfast. It even toured around Ireland before finishing its run at the Grand Opera House Studio in Belfast.
Later, Nuala worked with Andrea Montgomery to create other shows. These included It's Not All Rain & Potatoes, which was a sketch comedy about Ireland, and Is It Me?, a sitcom for BBC Northern Ireland.
Personal Life
Nuala McKeever has been a vegetarian since she was 16 years old. This means she chooses not to eat meat.
