Nuria Martí Gutiérrez is a Spanish scientist who works with cells and genes. She is a senior research associate at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in the Center for Embryonic Cell and Gene Therapy. This center focuses on understanding and using special cells called embryonic cells.

Nuria studied biological sciences at the University of Valencia. She then earned her Master's degree in Clinical Biology and Reproduction from the University of Alicante. Later, she completed her PhD at the University of Valencia. Her PhD research focused on a technique called mitochondrial replacement. This technique uses somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) to help prevent certain diseases. She worked with a famous scientist named Shoukhrat Mitalipov. Together, they helped develop ways to create embryonic stem cells (ESCs) from regular body cells using SCNT.

Nuria Martí Gutiérrez finished her bachelor's degree in biological sciences in 2003. The next year, in 2004, she earned her Master's degree.
