What is a Griot?
An art critic named Julie Joyce wrote about Nyame Brown's art. She said his work mixes many different times and cultures. She compared it to a DJ mixing different songs.
Julie Joyce also called Nyame Brown a "21st-Century Griot". A Griot is a traditional storyteller, musician, and historian in West African culture. They share stories and history through their art. Nyame Brown uses history and myths in his own storytelling art.
