Ocean's Deadliest facts for kids
Ocean's Deadliest is an exciting nature documentary that features Philippe Cousteau Jr. and the famous "Crocodile Hunter," Steve Irwin. This film was the last documentary Steve Irwin worked on before he sadly passed away during its making.
Exploring Dangerous Sea Creatures
This documentary was mostly filmed from Steve Irwin's research boat, called Croc One. Steve and Philippe explored the ocean to find and film some of the most dangerous sea animals.
They encountered many fascinating creatures, including:
- Stonefish, which are masters of camouflage
- Sea snakes, some of the most venomous snakes in the world
- Huge great white sharks
- Beautiful but dangerous cone snails
- Tiny but deadly blue-ringed octopuses
- Powerful saltwater crocodiles
- And the box jellyfish, which many consider the world's most venomous animal
Steve Irwin even said that one Stokes' sea snake they found was the biggest he had ever seen! The team also carefully collected venom from some stonefish and sea snakes for research.
