OdySea Aquarium is a huge marine aquarium located in the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, near Scottsdale, Arizona. It is the largest aquarium in the Southwest United States.
This amazing place holds over 2,000,000 US gallons (7,600,000 L; 1,700,000 imp gal) of water. It covers more than 200,000 square feet (19,000 m2) of space. You can discover over 6,000 animals and 370 different kinds of species here. The aquarium has more than 65 exhibits, offering fun and learning for everyone.

Discover Amazing Animals
OdySea Aquarium is home to many different sea creatures. You can see sharks, stingrays, and many colorful fish. The aquarium has over 6,000 animals from 370 different species.
Interactive Touch Pools
Get ready to touch some incredible animals! OdySea has several special touch pools. You can gently feel a Russian Sturgeon, which is a unique fish. There are also two different stingray touch exhibits. Plus, a tide pool lets you explore creatures found on the seashore.
The Voyager Experience
One of the coolest things at OdySea is the Voyager. This is a special theater with stadium-style seating. You sit in front of huge 46-foot viewing windows. The theater slowly rotates, giving you an amazing 360-degree view of the main aquarium habitats. It's like being right inside the ocean!
Unique Restrooms
Even the restrooms at OdySea Aquarium are special! They have windows that look directly into the shark habitat. This means you might see a shark swimming by while you wash your hands!
Fun Activities and Learning
OdySea Aquarium offers many ways to learn and have fun. It is accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums. This means it meets high standards for animal care.
Walk Under Water
You can try SeaTREK®, an underwater walking experience. With special gear, you can walk on the bottom of a habitat. This lets you get super close to the animals.
Penguin Fun
Meet some adorable penguins in the "Penguin Interaction Program." You can learn about these playful birds and even get to interact with them.
Behind-the-Scenes Tours
Ever wonder what happens behind the scenes at an aquarium? Take a "Shark Behind the Scenes" tour. You can learn how the animal care team looks after the sharks.
Animal Ambassadors
Keep an eye out for "Animal Ambassadors" walking around. These are animals that staff bring out for you to see up close. You can also ask questions to the Animal Care specialists. They have special Question & Answer sessions throughout the day.
