Ognjen Koroman (born on September 19, 1978) is a Serbian football manager and a professional player. He currently plays for FK Ježevica in a lower Serbian league.

As a player, he represented Serbia and Montenegro in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

Playing Career Highlights

Ognjen Koroman started his football journey in the youth teams of Željezničar and Red Star Belgrade. He then played for several clubs in Serbia and Montenegro.

Early Club Years

Koroman played for Radnički Kragujevac, Spartak Subotica, and OFK Beograd. He spent about a year and a half with each team. In 2002, he moved to play football in other countries.

Playing in Russia

Koroman played for Russian clubs like Dynamo Moscow, Krylia Sovetov Samara, and Terek Grozny. He played 94 games and scored 16 goals in Russia's top league. In 2002, he was even named one of the league's best 33 players.

Time in England

In January 2006, Koroman joined the English club Portsmouth on loan. He played three league games for them. He scored a goal in his last game of the 2005–06 season against Liverpool. He returned to Portsmouth for another loan spell later that year.

Return to Red Star Belgrade

In February 2007, Koroman came back to Serbia. He joined his old club, Red Star Belgrade, on a loan deal. He helped them win both the league and the cup in the 2006–07 season. Later, he signed a permanent contract with Red Star Belgrade.

Playing in Asia

In July 2009, Koroman moved to Asia. He signed with the Korean club Incheon United. He played under his former manager, Ilija Petković, there. In June 2010, he returned to Red Star Belgrade for another season.

Later Career and Comeback

In June 2011, Koroman went back to Russia to play for Krylia Sovetov Samara again. He played nine games and scored one goal. He later said he would end his career in December 2013.

However, in 2025, Koroman made a comeback to football. He signed with the Serbian club FK Ježevica. This team plays in the Zona Drina, which is the fourth level of Serbian football.

International Football

Koroman played for his country, Serbia, and its earlier teams (Serbia and Montenegro, and FR Yugoslavia). He played 36 games and scored one goal between 2002 and 2007.

He was part of the Serbia and Montenegro team that played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He played in two matches during the tournament. His last game for his country was in August 2007. It was a European Championship qualification match against Belgium.

Managerial Career

After his playing career, Ognjen Koroman started working as a football manager.

Managing Žarkovo

Koroman began his managing career at Serbian First League club Žarkovo. He became their manager on May 21, 2019. His team started well, winning his first game 4–0. However, the team's results changed, and they struggled to win games. Koroman resigned on October 17, 2019, after less than five months.

Managing Smederevo 1924

On December 28, 2019, Koroman became the manager of another Serbian First League club, Smederevo 1924.
