Omari Latif Hardwick (born January 9, 1974) is an American actor, model, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for playing James St. Patrick, also known as Ghost, in the TV series Power. He also played Vanderohe in the movie Army of the Dead (2021).
You might also know him from TV shows like Saved and Dark Blue. He has appeared in movies such as Miracle at St. Anna (2008), Kick-Ass (2010), and For Colored Girls (2010). He was also Andre in the BET show Being Mary Jane.
In 2025, Omari Hardwick was nominated for a Grammy Award. This was for his spoken word poetry album called Concrete & Whiskey Act II Part 1: A Bourbon 30 Series.

Early Life and Education
Omari Hardwick was born in Savannah, Georgia. His parents are Joyce and Clifford Hardwick III. He grew up in Decatur, Georgia, with three siblings.
From a young age, Omari loved writing poetry. He was also very active in sports. In high school, he played baseball, basketball, and football. He later went to the University of Georgia on a football scholarship. While there, he continued acting and writing poetry. He also studied theater.
Omari Hardwick's Career Journey
After college, Omari first tried to become a professional football player. He hoped to join the San Diego Chargers. However, he was not chosen in the NFL Draft. So, he decided to focus on acting instead.
Starting Out in Acting
When he first started acting, Omari took on many different jobs. He even lived in his car for a while to save money for acting classes. In 2002, he appeared as an extra in a music video. From 2003 to 2004, he competed in the National Poetry Slam. He finished in the top 5 overall.
His first big acting chance came in 2004. He got a role in the TV movie Sucker Free City. In 2006, he was in the movie The Guardian. He also became a regular on the TV show Saved. For this role, he trained for two years to learn about being a firefighter and a paramedic.
Creating and Producing
In 2010, Omari helped start a theater group called "Plan B Inc. Theater Group". He also co-founded "Actor's Lounge" in Los Angeles. He even started his own production company, "Bravelife Films".
In 2011, he received great reviews for his role as Troy in the movie I Will Follow. He also appeared in an episode of NBC's Chase.

In 2013, Omari Hardwick got the main role in the Starz crime drama Power. He played James "Ghost" St. Patrick. The show was very popular and ran for six seasons.
