The Omega Chapter of the Chi Phi Fraternity is an old and important building. It is a fraternity house located at Georgia Institute of Technology, often called Georgia Tech. This school is in Atlanta, Georgia, in the United States. This special building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. This means it is officially recognized as a historic landmark.

History of the Omega Chapter

The Chi Phi fraternity is a group of college students. In 1902, they started looking into having a chapter at the Georgia School of Technology. This school is now known as Georgia Institute of Technology or Georgia Tech.

By 1904, eight students at Georgia Tech were part of the Chi Phi fraternity. On June 2, 1904, their group, called the Omega Chapter, was officially started. This is known as being chartered.

In 1927, members of the Omega Chapter began collecting money. They wanted to build a new fraternity house for their group. The building was constructed between June 1928 and the fall of 1929.

This historic building was officially added to the National Register of Historic Places on June 17, 1982.
