Onitsha is an American gospel music singer. She is known for her powerful voice and inspiring songs. Her first album, Church Girl, came out in 2007. It was a big success on the Billboard magazine charts.
Onitsha's Music Journey
Onitsha started her music career at a young age. She was a special singer, called a soloist, with the Mississippi Children's Choir. She sang the main part on the song "I'm Blessed." This song was from their album When God's Children Get Together.
Her solo career began in 2007. She released her first album, Church Girl, on April 17, 2007. Stillwaters Records put out the album. This album was a big hit for her. It reached No. 19 on the Gospel Albums chart. The Billboard magazine charts show how popular music is.
Many music critics liked Church Girl. AllMusic and GOSPELflava gave it good reviews. Cross Rhythms even gave it a nine out of ten rating.
In 2015, Onitsha also sang background vocals for a very famous artist. She joined Janet Jackson on her Unbreakable World Tour.
