Oracle Junction is a small community in Pinal County, Arizona, in the United States. It's a "populated place," which means it's a spot where people live, but it's not an official city or town. It's also part of the SaddleBrooke area.

This place is located near where two important roads meet: Arizona State Route 77 and Arizona State Route 79. Before 1992, Route 79 used to be known as U.S. 89. Oracle Junction is quite high up, about 3,320 feet (or 1,012 meters) above sea level.

History of Oracle Junction

Oracle Junction started out as a service station. It was first called Walnut Service Station. This station was on the main road between two big Arizona cities, Tucson and Phoenix.

In 1926, the service station got a new name: Oracle Junction Service Station. Over time, a small community grew up around this station. In the 1930s, Oracle Junction was a lively place. It even hosted rodeos during the Independence Day weekend!

Fire Services in the Area

For a while, Oracle Junction had its own fire department. This special fire district was created in 1980.

However, on January 1, 1996, something big happened. The Oracle Junction Fire District joined with two other nearby fire districts. These were the Catalina Fire District and the Golder Ranch Fire District. Together, they formed a much larger fire department called the Golder Ranch Fire District.

What Oracle Junction is Like Today

In the mid-1990s, Oracle Junction had a few businesses. There was a mobile home park, a bakery, and two restaurants. The original service station, where it all began, eventually closed down.

By 2022, Oracle Junction had changed again. Today, it mostly has a small mobile home park and one restaurant.
