Orange, Coshocton County, Ohio facts for kids
Orange is a small place in Coshocton County, Ohio. It's called an "unincorporated community." This means it's a settlement that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or a village. Instead, it's governed by the county.
A Look Back at Orange's History
Orange was first planned out in 1839. This means its streets and lots were officially marked on a map.
In 1853, something interesting happened with the mail. The post office from a nearby, now-gone town called Evansburg was moved to Orange. Even though it was in Orange, it kept the name "Evansburg Post Office." This post office served the community for many years until it finally closed its doors in 1907.
