Railroads in the Town's History
In the mid-1800s, a railroad called the Beloit and Madison Railroad was built through the Town of Oregon. Later, a bigger company called Chicago and North Western took over this railroad line.
From 1880 to 1950, this railroad line had two tracks, which meant more trains could use it. Today, this railroad line is no longer used for trains.
