A Changing Region
For a long time, Oristà was part of the Osona comarca. However, there were plans to create a new comarca specifically for the Lluçanès area.
In 2015, the people of Oristà voted on whether to join this proposed new region. The plan was put on hold for a while because it didn't get enough support from all the towns involved.
Finally, in 2023, Oristà officially became part of the new Lluçanès comarca. This change helps group towns that share a similar history and geography.
